Kneeling for Blessings, Standing for Sierra Leone: A Message from The Liberator

"Pastor Mohamed Samuel Kamara reflects on the power of blessings from his parents and spiritual leaders, emphasizing how these blessings will guide his leadership and commitment to serve Sierra Leone with humility and strength as he prepares for the 2028 elections."

The Liberator: Pastor Mohamed Samuel Kamara
Liberty For All
I have always believed that true success begins with a blessing. For me, the hands of my parents and my spiritual leaders have been my greatest source of strength. For many years—whether in the quiet of home, the noise of a marketplace, or even in the middle of a busy street—I have never been ashamed to kneel before them and say, “Please, bless me before I go.”
Some people were surprised to see a grown man, sometimes dressed for a meeting, bend his knees in the dust while cars and pedestrians passed by. But I knew what I was doing. I understood that every prayer they spoke was building a wall of protection around me and opening doors I could never open by myself.
Whether I was going to preach, to help orphans, or to sit in a political meeting, I carried those blessings like a crown no one could see but everyone could feel. And over the years, I have learned this truth—when you kneel for a blessing, you rise with strength.
As we look toward the Sierra Leone elections in 2028, I do not rely on my own wisdom alone. I believe the blessings of my parents and spiritual leaders will speak for me. They will guide my words, shape my decisions, and protect my heart from pride and corruption.
Because if a man can kneel for a blessing, he can also kneel to serve his people. And that is the leader I will be for Sierra Leone—humble before God, respectful to elders, and faithful to the nation.
